A SPECIAL FEATURE FROM OUR EVENT AT THE ST ANDREWS PRIMARY SCHOOL, WOODHALL SPA
Here are just some of the pictures from our event. These, and many more, can be found in the photo gallery simply by clicking on any of these images
Many children came to school dressed in WW2 period costume, such as evacuees, soldiers and even a spiv, complete with cigarettes and other black market items!
We also had a para soldier and a WW2 scientist.
We were amazed how hard the children had worked on their costumes and the level of detail involved.
All the children had a great day and responded very positively to the lesson. This was reflected to the parents after school - when they were being led round our exhibition by the children themselves, discussing excitedly what they had learned during the day. Many parents took the time to tell us how impressed they were with the reaction from the children and with the fantastic collection of hands-on exhibits.
